There are numerous professionals and roles in the company devoted to helping other professionals do their best. They are HR managers, agile coach, scrum master, people managers, to name a few. Although they would deploy their methods and languages, we can all agree that they have a shared goal – to create a high performing, engaged and happier employees and workplace.
Every last Friday morning of each month, WeQ organizes a breakfast meeting at the top floor of A’DAM Tower to steer a conversation in this group of professionals named as ‘People Professionals’
The meeting borrows the PLACES principle, a neuroscience-based framework which keeps teams in the reward state, as a useful framework to provide a universal langue to the group.
For instance, the previous event in June took ‘Positivity’ — how our brain acts upon positive and negative stimulus. What different tactics out there which can keep a group in a reward state. Participants received insights about how our brain works, related cognitive bias and few principles to counteract the bias. And.. we had many discussions and sharing about their experiences, challenges and tips.
The July edition will focus on ‘Labelling’ The power of langue to create a smart group.
We care about creating an intimate and psychologically safe space where people can be open and connect. That means we don’t host a huge networking event. Each breakfast meeting is limited to 10 participants only.
